About Andy’s Transfer & Storage

Andy’s Transfer and Storage was founded by Dick Anderson in Montrose in 1921 where his main business was transporting of building materials from Los Angeles to the Crescenta Valley. A couple years later, Anderson expanded into the moving and household goods segment, where the business thrived for over two decades.

 

In the Mid 1940’s, the parents of the current owner, Harry & Cress Kroening, purchased the business and kept the Andy’s name. As the decades roll by, Andy’s Transfer and Storage thrives and earns a reputable name for itself throughout the Greater Los Angeles area earning “Agency of the Year” awards from North American Van Lines for 4 consecutive years in the 1990’s.

 

In 2011, Andy’s celebrated their 90th year in business and continues to this day to provide quality, full service moving excellence to the community. Please contact Andy’s Transfer and Storage today for your next move!

Andy’s History 1920’s
1921: Andy’s was founded by Dick Anderson in Montrose. Main business was transporting of building materials from Los Angeles to the Crescenta Valley

 

1923: Anderson sells business to Marion Benthussen. Business now expanded into the moving of household goods

 

Andy’s History 1940’s
1945: Harry & Cress Kroening (Parents of present owner) purchase firm. Andy’s name is retained. Company expands into warehousing and long term storage. Statewide moving offered by direct more van service.

 

1948: Andy’s moves from Honolulu Avenue to present location in North Verdugo Road. Warehouse space expanded to 8,000 square feet.
